Self-taught since 2017, Suleyman's art has developed from abstract expressionism to the abstract-inspired figurative works of his most recent collection. His art seeks to examine the contemporary black experience.
When not painting, sculpting or writing fiction, Suleyman practises arbitration law in Paris after qualifying as a solicitor in London. A keen pro-bono volunteer, Suleyman has worked on matters concerning international asylum law, refugee status appeals and sexual violence. He has also received human rights law training in Lebanon alongside regional NGOs and currently co-manages an international NGO offering displaced people practical and legal support across Europe.
